Abstract

This study was aimed at evaluating the effects of planting’s different dates on the trend of leaf area index, dry biomass weight and panicle weight in addition to the yield of rice varieties for one year in the north region of Khuzestan, as spilt plots in the form of fully random blocks in three repetitions. Main factor was the date of planting at three levels (26 May, 10 Jun, 26 Jun) and the subordinate factor included three varieties of red Amber ( long and short grains ), and Champa. Results of variance analysis indicated that there is a significant difference between different dates of planting and all properties was significant at %1 level; and other of panicle weight, there is remnant not any significant difference in the interaction of both factors. In addition, the maximum leaf area index (LAI) and dry biomass weight was related to the first date and the yield and panicle weight of grain was related to the third date of planting. Evaluating the trend of all factors other panicle weight on 26 May, they reached the maximum growth in a shorter period of time; of course, after that, the leaf area index have rapidly reduced ,which was be referred as short panicle weight particular on the last week date planting aforementioned about result unfertility more seeds in this period Time. Among the varieties, short-grain Amber had the minimum changes and Champa had the maximum yield with an average of 3795/4 kg/ha
